Stephany Panhuysen

Farewell to my gorgeous mum. You were truly one of a kind. Meandering to the beat of your own unique drum. Accepting of all. Lover of life. Passionate about adding justice to the world. You taught me so many life lessons. From deep empathy for others and not passing judgements to the endless joy of op-shop bargains and some of the most unusual drink inventions ever! Only you could think an oxo cube with licorice tea bag was the ‘best drink ever’. All the humans you encountered along the way will remember your beautiful quirks, cheeky smile and welcoming eyes. Much love and gratitude always. May your free spirit live on in all of us who knew and loved you.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to the celebrations of life for mum. I was so blown away by everyone and everything!  I know she was watching over us all in Hepburn with the biggest FOMO ever.  She allowed the rain to stop just long enough for us all to walk down to the memorial boat… and even a little sun to shine thru on us all!  We did her so proud folks.  The village was out in full force from near and far and it made my heart sing to see you all there and to share the love and stories and hugs.

There’s too many people for me to thank that helped make both days happen behind the scenes, you know who you are and I’m eternally grateful.  I’ll be spending a lot of time at radius in the coming months sorting thru 81 years of collecting and creating from both my parents.  If you missed out on a piece of art, feel like a cuppa or I missed catching you on Sat please swing by.  I was too busy connecting to take any pics so there’s some on this page that have been shared with me.
